Internal Bleaching Post-Op Instructions
When teeth are necrotic or are root canal treated, they will become darker than vital teeth over time. Internal bleaching is a procedure that may be completed to improve the color and aesthetics of a root canal treated tooth.
After you come in for Internal Bleaching, it is important to avoid biting on the treated tooth. There will be bleach inside the tooth that is covered by a temporary filling. After two weeks, you must return to the office to have the bleach removed. Not removing the bleach can result in resorption of the root of the tooth.
