Dental Hygienist

Passion for Helping Patients

Born and raised in Bogota, Colombia as the eldest of three, Monica saw how her mom was able to change lives through her job as a social worker. Seeing this first-hand inspired her to want to make a difference in the community as well. She decided to become a dentist and reached her goal when she graduated in 1997.

To further her knowledge and improve her English proficiency, Monica moved to London where she lived and worked for a year. As a dental assistant she gained valuable insight into European dentistry. She arrived in New York City in 2000 and has since amassed over 20 years of experience touching on all aspects of the field, from Dental Assistant to Front Desk and Patient Coordinator.

In 2018 she decided to go back to school to earn her license as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Monica is knowledgeable about working within multicultural environments, passionate about the dental profession, and strongly committed to the individual needs of patients and raising their awareness of preventive oral health measures.
